This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design and develop production-grade AI systems and components across machine learning pipelines, generative AI, and agentic workflows.
• Transform ambiguous challenges into functional systems that integrate diverse data sources using rule-based, probabilistic, and ML-based methodologies.
• Implement best practices for secure, observable, and scalable AI systems within cloud-native environments.
• Assess emerging frameworks and techniques, including agentic orchestration, fine-tuning, and evaluation methods, and provide recommendations to the team.
• Construct and sustain ML and data pipelines for the training, deployment, and monitoring of fine-tuned generative AI and machine learning models.
• Collaborate with data science teams, engineering managers, product stakeholders, and security operations analysts to deliver measurable customer value.
• Serve as a bridge between disciplines by articulating production constraints to data scientists and AI requirements to partners.
• Work alongside security operations, threat researchers, and product teams to ground initiatives in operational workflows and feedback loops.
• Convey progress, trade-offs, and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Draft design documents, architecture decision records, and status updates.
• Write code, review pull requests, troubleshoot production issues, and assist teammates in overcoming obstacles.
• Mentor mid-level and early-career engineers while elevating standards for code quality, testing, and operational practices.
• Measure AI quality, assess outcomes, and assist in closing feedback loops with operations teams.
• 6+ years of experience in building intelligent systems, distributed platforms, or AI-enhanced applications.
• Proven experience in designing and deploying systems that support ML, data science, generative AI, or agentic workloads.
• Production experience with generative AI systems, encompassing prompt engineering, evaluation, guardrails, and some exposure to fine-tuning.
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks and LLM integration patterns, such as AgentCore, Amazon Bedrock, LangGraph, or similar.
• Demonstrated success in partnering with data science, product, and operations teams to achieve customer-facing outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong practical coding skills.
• Experience with cloud-native data services, preferably AWS, along with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including threat detection, alert triage, risk modeling, exposure management, MITRE ATT&CK, and telemetry.
• Familiarity with Spark, Flink, Kafka, and Databricks.
• Experience with ML quality measurement and evaluation frameworks, including LLM-as-judge and human-in-the-loop evaluation.
