Staff AI Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Create and implement machine learning models (including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning) for real-world applications.

• Design experiments, establish success metrics, and conduct thorough offline and online evaluations (such as A/B testing, holdouts, and causal analyses).

• Refine, prompt-engineer, and assess large language models tailored for specific domain tasks.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to determine the necessary features, datasets, and pipelines for model training and inference.

• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to convert vague challenges into well-defined modeling solutions.

• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to oversee model performance, drift, and fairness over time.

• Present insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective visualizations and written reports.

• Guide other data scientists and contribute to enhancing modeling standards across the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience in constructing and deploying machine learning models in production settings.

• Strong expertise in Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face Transformers.

• In-depth knowledge of statistical modeling, experimental design, and evaluation methodologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for model training, serving, and scaling.

• Familiarity with large language model fine-tuning techniques (like LoRA, RLHF, and instruction tuning) and serving infrastructure.

• Experience in utilizing AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, OpenCode, or GitHub Copilot) to enhance development workflows.
