
Staff Accountant – Property Accounting, CPA Track Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +3 more states.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring precise and timely reporting in line with U.S. GAAP standards.
• Prepare journal entries and relevant documentation for fixed asset transactions, lease activities, and capital expenditures, while also assisting with various general accounting functions and special projects as designated.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, including the analysis and investigation of reconciling items.
• Aid in the lease accounting process under ASC 842, encompassing system entries and collaboration with the Real Estate and Legal teams.
• Assist in monitoring internal-use software development costs and capital labor efforts in compliance with GAAP.
• Contribute to asset lifecycle management, including the addition, disposal, and transfer of capital assets.
• Help in maintaining capital project schedules and tracking expenditures against the budget.
• Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis and Procurement teams to facilitate capital forecasting and reporting.
• Provide support during external audits and internal requests by supplying necessary schedules and documentation.
• Assist in enhancing internal controls, standardizing processes, and promoting automation and efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA eligible, actively pursuing CPA licensure, or CPA preferred; an MBA is a plus.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably including internships or experience in public/private accounting).
• Proficient in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong Excel capabilities and familiarity with accounting systems (experience with Microsoft D365, NetSuite, System21, Prolease is advantageous).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
