Staff Accountant, Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Processes accounts payable purchase order vouchers in Deltek Costpoint.

• Sends the accounts payable report to the Director of Accounting for payment approval.

• Prepares accounts payable payments within Deltek Costpoint.

• Investigates all inquiries related to vendors.

• Processes Expense Reports and reconciles Company Credit Cards using Deltek Time & Expense.

• Records electronic deposits into client records.

• Records cash receipts into client records.

• Conducts daily cash reconciliation.

• Maintains daily cash flow reconciliation.

• Performs monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and loans.

• Provides reconciliations to the Director of Accounting for review and approval.

• Files monthly and quarterly reports with the relevant agencies.

• Enters journal entries as necessary.

• Maintains records and collaborates with external auditors.

• Updates the fixed assets in the asset tracker for additions and deletions.

• Maintains records related to fixed asset purchases and disposals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in accounting and Government Contracting roles is necessary.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with a focus on accounting is required.

• Must be a motivated self-starter.

• Self-driven with a positive attitude.

• Excellent team player capable of working under tight deadlines and pressure.

• Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.

• Willingness to listen, learn, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
