Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact for order processing and revenue recognition tasks, which include reviewing Salesforce data, generating customer contracts in Sage Intacct, provisioning subscription licenses, maintaining necessary documentation, and verifying shipment details for physical products.

• Manage vendor invoices and ensure that expenses are accurately allocated to the correct general ledger accounts and departments.

• Oversee employee expense reimbursements via the Concur expense management system, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Record customer payments and keep precise accounts receivable records by aligning payments with the corresponding invoices.

• Prepare and enter month-end journal entries, covering prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and other routine accounting activities.

• Conduct monthly account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger account analyses.

• Leverage Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and internal business systems to facilitate accounting operations and uphold data integrity.

• Assist with annual financial statement audits and address inquiries from external auditors and other stakeholders.

• Support special projects and conduct ad hoc accounting analyses, reconciliations, and reporting as necessary.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting position

• CPA or a pathway to CPA is preferred

• Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool

• Strong data entry and organizational abilities

• Exceptional attention to detail (essential)

• Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new systems

• Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to take direction on given assignments
