This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Ensure precise financial records for a portfolio comprising 20–30 commercial properties/entities.
• Oversee general ledger activities, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and conduct bank reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Reconcile all property-level transactions to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and reconcile NNN expenses, which include CAM (Common Area Maintenance), property taxes, and insurance.
• Supervise tenant rent payments, lease escalations, late fees, and additional charges.
• Generate and distribute monthly rent statements and invoices.
• Collaborate with property management to enforce rent collection policies and follow up on any delinquencies.
• Review and process vendor invoices, utilities, and maintenance expenses in accordance with budgets.
• Track and ensure adherence to tenant insurance requirements.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Support financial audits and tax filings in collaboration with external accountants.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Yardi Breeze to enhance accounting workflows.
• Maintain well-organized records of financial transactions, leases, and supporting documentation.
• Compile financial reports, variance analyses, and cash flow projections.
• Work in close coordination with property managers, asset managers, and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements and accounting best practices.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in commercial real estate accounting.
• Practical experience with Yardi Breeze (preferred).
• Strong background in NNN / Triple Net lease structures, CAM reconciliations, property-level accounting, and multi-entity accounting environments.
• Proficient in English (both written and verbal).
• Skilled in QuickBooks, Yardi Breeze, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Solid understanding of GAAP and lease accounting standards.
• Experience with audits, tax filings, and compliance (preferred).
• Exceptionally detail-oriented and meticulous.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple entities simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills suitable for a remote environment.
• Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable seeking clarification when needed.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and demonstrates high integrity.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to structured processes.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
