Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable, Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and process customer invoices in Deltek Vantagepoint, ensuring compliance with contract terms and company policies.

• Submit invoices along with supporting documentation through customer-specific billing portals.

• Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts and quickly address any discrepancies.

• Oversee outstanding balances and provide support or leadership in collections efforts as necessary.

• Address both internal and external billing inquiries, resolving invoice-related issues promptly.

• Work collaboratively with project managers and operations to ensure accurate billing information is maintained.

• Process adjustments to labor time to facilitate precise project cost allocation and billing.

• Assist in enhancing processes related to billing and accounts receivable workflows.

• Contribute to reporting, month-end closing activities, and special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in billing or accounts receivable is required.

• Proficient in MS Office, with a preference for strong Excel skills.

• Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong organizational abilities.

• Capable of managing record-keeping and maintaining precise documentation.

• Self-driven with the capability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• A degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university is preferred.

• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint is preferred.
