This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and/or written correspondence about overdue account balances.
• Examine account history, billing information, payment status, and notes during customer interactions.
• Clarify balances, due dates, payment expectations, and available options for resolution.
• Negotiate payment plans within authorized guidelines.
• Record collection activities, customer interactions, disputes, and follow-up actions in the appropriate systems.
• Investigate account issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies or payment concerns.
• Oversee assigned accounts and consistently follow up to facilitate resolution and minimize aging balances.
• Escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved accounts as per established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant consumer collection regulations.
• Assist with reporting needs, account evaluations, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Achieve individual and team productivity, quality, and collection performance standards.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting, financial, or collections-related role.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office and account management or billing systems.
• Must reside in Arizona.
• Familiarity with consumer collections practices and payment arrangement processes.
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume call center setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to manage challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in account reviews and documentation.
• Basic problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload and prioritize follow-up tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of the healthcare sector, including understanding Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance.
• Ability to balance customer service with accountability for payment collection.
• Comfort with performance goals, aging reports, and follow-up metrics.
• Capability to identify account issues and collaborate with internal partners for resolution.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
