SQL Server DBA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee, configure, maintain, monitor, and upgrade SQL Server databases in both production and non-production settings.

• Ensure that databases are accessible, dependable, secure, and efficient in accordance with agreed operational and service standards.

• Conduct troubleshooting for SQL Server, investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Monitor database performance and proactively pinpoint areas for optimization and enhancement.

• Support database-related inquiries and work in collaboration with developers and technical teams to address application and database challenges.

• Contribute to the design, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of databases and repositories.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers to resolve technical issues.

• Assume responsibility for assigned tasks, adhere to established procedures, and complete activities within specified timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a comparable database administration position.

• Proficient hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.

• Extensive experience with SQL Server troubleshooting, performance analysis, and resolution of issues.

• Solid understanding of SQL and PL/SQL.

• Knowledge of database availability, dependability, monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently investigate complex technical challenges.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working with developers, infrastructure teams, and external providers.

• Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is considered a plus.

• Background in database design, repositories, and enterprise production environments is advantageous.
