This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with managers and stakeholders to grasp reporting and business needs.
• Transform business requirements into effective SQL-based solutions.
• Remotely access client servers to install, configure, and support reporting software.
• Identify locations of relevant data across client systems (not exclusively SQL Server).
• Extract and interpret data from various database platforms and business systems.
• Analyze and comprehend existing database structures and data relationships.
• Understand the interaction between the software and SQL databases.
• Develop and modify:
• ○ SQL views
• ○ Stored procedures
• ○ Functions
• ○ Tables
• Implement fixes, updates, and performance enhancements within SQL Server.
• Diagnose and resolve database, connectivity, and networking issues.
• Operate within Windows Server environments and coordinate with client IT teams.
• Conduct training sessions for clients on the effective utilization of the software.
• Offer post-implementation support and guidance to users.
• Assume responsibility for implementations from initial setup to final completion.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficient in advanced SQL querying (joins, aggregations, subqueries, troubleshooting).
• Experience in creating views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Strong understanding of relational database design.
• Familiarity with working in Windows Server environments.
• Good grasp of networking fundamentals (permissions, ports, firewalls, DNS).
• Experience accessing and working on client infrastructure remotely.
• Confident communication skills to engage with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and proactively address problems.
