Developer, Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• We are looking for a full-stack or backend-focused Developer to become part of our Insights team.

• The mission of the Insights team is to collect the necessary data to provide impactful reporting and actionable insights wherever they are needed by administrators, developers, and automation systems.

• Our team manages a broad and intricate domain that includes data streaming, infrastructure, and core services for all 1Password clients.

• Our engineers address challenging issues, such as consolidating various audit events and optimizing extensive data platforms, which directly enhance 1Password's security and customer value.

• You will code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software systems for both new and existing product features.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and/or stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to ensure seamless releases.

• Work with your colleagues and project manager to convey technical requirements to stakeholders and resolve technical challenges in a scalable and feasible manner.

• Mentor junior and new team members by clarifying team expectations, providing technical direction, sharing insights, and engaging in pair programming sessions.

• Participate in planning by identifying key tasks and decomposing, estimating, and scheduling work.

• Write thorough tests during various phases of the development lifecycle to ensure the code operates as intended.

• Review others' code to uphold high standards of code quality, facilitate knowledge sharing within the team, and foster a supportive environment for giving and receiving feedback.

• Create and review documentation on coding processes to ensure scalability.

• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in development.

• Be available for on-call rotation to ensure continuous support and address emergencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency in Go.

• A commitment to and proven experience in software development best practices and coding standards.

• Enjoyment of solving moderately complex problems, demonstrating the ability to address issues and propose effective solutions.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional partners.

• A passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.

• Bonus points for experience in building frontends using Typescript and React.
