πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Create comprehensive automatic sprinkler system designs from initial concept through to construction and commissioning.

β€’ Generate hydraulic calculations to ensure the system's performance aligns with relevant standards and meets client expectations.

β€’ Develop and evaluate working drawings utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other design tools.

β€’ Ensure adherence to LPC Rules, BS EN 12845, FM Global, NFPA, and applicable project specifications.

β€’ Collaborate on sprinkler designs with building services teams and construction personnel.

β€’ Assist project teams during the design phase, installation, and during the handover process.

β€’ Participate in site surveys, design evaluations, coordination workshops, and progress meetings.

β€’ Track design schedules and align deliverables with project timelines.

β€’ Offer technical assistance to Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and installation crews.

β€’ Address technical challenges and design inquiries that arise during construction.

β€’ Facilitate procurement through technical assessments and engagement with suppliers.

β€’ Aid in design modifications and identify value engineering opportunities.

β€’ Contribute to managing project costs through effective design strategies.

β€’ Organize and oversee design documentation, calculations, certification, and handover materials.

β€’ Assist with internal and external audits related to design compliance.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Demonstrated experience in designing automatic sprinkler systems in the fire protection sector.

β€’ Strong understanding of LPC Rules and BS EN 12845 standards.

β€’ Experience in producing hydraulic calculations.

β€’ Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.

β€’ Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

β€’ Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.

β€’ Valid UK driving licence.

β€’ LPCB Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced Design certifications (preferred).

β€’ Familiarity with FM Global and NFPA standards (preferred).

β€’ Experience with Revit/BIM (preferred).

β€’ HNC/HND or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

β€’ May be required to undergo a DBS check.
