Sportsbook Trader – Live, Evenings & Weekends

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee live betting markets in real-time across designated sports and events.

• Modify odds according to game conditions, injuries, penalties, significant events, market fluctuations, and betting activities.

• Implement liability-aware decisions concerning price adjustments, market suspensions, and stake/limit evaluations.

• Ensure competitive pricing against leading operators like Bet365 and Pinnacle.

• Operate within event templates and market tiers, making adjustments as necessary.

• Track and respond to sharp or arbitrage activities.

• Utilize internal tools to monitor exposure and performance metrics.

• Contribute to enhancements in live trading and process optimization.

• Support Sports Betting products, pricing strategies, risk management, Boosts, Specials, Promotions, and Player Props for a 24/7 North American-facing operator.

⛳️ Requirements

• A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, such as mathematics, business, or other analytical fields.

• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a trading environment or in assessing and calculating risk within insurance or finance is preferred.

• Strong overall knowledge of sports betting and a keen interest in betting and odds are essential.

• Data-obsessed, not just data-driven.

• Strong mathematical proficiency.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required by business needs.

• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make swift decisions.
