• Oversee the complete delivery of Splunk-related projects, encompassing implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization efforts.
• Establish project scope, timelines, milestones, and expected deliverables.
• Manage project plans, monitor progress, and guarantee compliance with schedules.
• Identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles, and actively pursue solutions.
• Provide consistent status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Act as the technical point of contact for Splunk architecture, data onboarding, and platform improvements.
• Work collaboratively with engineers to design and deploy scalable Splunk solutions (indexers, search heads, forwarders).
• Supervise data ingestion pipelines, parsing, and normalization techniques.
• Ensure adherence to best practices concerning performance, scalability, and security.
• Validate technical outputs and confirm alignment with project requirements.
• Coordinate efforts across engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
• Convert business needs into actionable technical strategies.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Manage vendor partnerships and external collaborations as necessary.
• Establish and uphold project governance, standards, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as suitable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management.
• Strong practical knowledge of Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud (REQUIRED).
• Profound understanding of Splunk architecture (indexers, search heads, forwarders).
• Experience with data onboarding, parsing (props/transforms), and SPL.
• Knowledge of observability, logging, and/or SIEM use cases.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, enterprise-level Splunk projects.
• Strong capability to handle multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Possession of Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Admin, or Architect).
• Familiarity with tools such as Cribl, Kafka, or other data pipeline technologies.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, government).
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
