Speech Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Under the guidance of the Program Director, the Speech Therapist delivers comprehensive speech therapy services to participants.

• Assess participants and create tailored treatment plans.

• Provide therapy sessions and educate families and staff on methods to enhance participant progress.

• Ensure that all services comply with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and contribute to care planning efforts.

• Assist the program in achieving its service and quality objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be licensed as a Speech Therapist by the Medical Board of California.

• Conversational proficiency in Russian is essential for effective communication with participants and their families.

• Experience in providing speech therapy to older adults and/or individuals with disabilities is required.

• Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations concerning speech therapy in adult day health care settings.

• Capability to instruct non-clinical staff and caregivers on therapy-related strategies.

• Physical ability to assist frail elderly or disabled adults when needed.

• Must complete a physical examination and tuberculosis screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment.
