This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Implement the brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Fulfill customer needs while establishing trusted relationships with clients.
• Formulate and execute call plans to maximize customer outreach and sales potential.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales techniques.
• Share market insights with field, brand, and sales teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Participate in scheduled training events and sales meetings as required.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, specifically at least five years, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A proven history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Robust business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Collaborative relationships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Documented leadership and support experience at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Preferred experience in pharmaceutical commercial roles, including physician or account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to achieve them.
• May require background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
