This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and initiate calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Address customer needs and establish trusted relationships with clients.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance coverage and frequency for key accounts.
• Acquire knowledge about customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Convey market insights to field teams, brand teams, and sales managers.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, matrix teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Support specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience required in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Preferably three (3) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Capability to tailor selling approach to customer style and behavior.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions and maximize business opportunities.
• Leadership and support experience at the district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Preferred commercial pharmaceutical industry experience, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Capability to drive a personal vehicle or company car/truck or operate powered material-handling equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving standards.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
