This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage sales performance, and effectively oversee assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and enhance problem-solving capabilities to maximize both short-term and long-term sales performance, with a focus on patient-centered efforts while adhering to AbbVie’s business conduct, policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
• Develop a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to facilitate continuous improvement in sales performance.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently securing logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sales interaction.
• Actively and continuously strive to meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges to cultivate trustworthy customer relationships and foster win-win agreements between AbbVie and its clients.
• Formulate and execute a call plan that meets established call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency to key customers, aiming to enhance access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously deepen understanding of customer needs and expectations, the territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, diseases, products, and clinical and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to achieve alignment, anticipate environmental changes and challenges, and refine brand strategy and execution.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition among assigned health providers, identifying, developing, and maintaining disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is necessary in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with at least three (3) years preferred within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated success in sales and strong presentation skills.
• Proactively identifies customer styles/behaviors and quickly adapts all aspects of the selling approach.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Contributes impactful ideas for the broader organization while anticipating and responding to changes.
• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among colleagues.
• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility at the district, region, and/or organizational levels.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license; must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
