This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field while driving sales performance, managing assigned territories and targeted accounts, cultivating strong customer relationships, and addressing customer needs to enhance both short and long-term sales outcomes, always prioritizing the patient and adhering to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all relevant laws and regulations.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing goals, and more, ensuring objectives are met or surpassed.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to foster ongoing improvements in sales performance.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently leading to logical and actionable outcomes to close every sales interaction.
• Continuously strive to meet customer needs and expectations, fostering trusted relationships and reaching mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Create and execute a call plan that meets established call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Regularly enhance understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales expertise, sharing this intelligence with in-field teams, brand teams, and sales managers for alignment and to proactively address environmental shifts and challenges, thus optimizing brand strategy and execution.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers, identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree must include at least five (5) years, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrates comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Proactively assesses customer behavior/styles and swiftly adapts the selling approach as needed.
• Utilizes insights to devise effective sales strategies.
• Presents innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Provides impactful suggestions for the broader organization and responds proactively to changes.
• Effectively operates within a matrix environment.
• Influences others, earning a reputation as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Leads by example, consistently exhibiting positive behaviors and peer coaching in dynamic and challenging environments.
• Documented success in leadership and supportive roles with increased responsibility at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Preferred: A proven record of sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
