This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, manage sales performance, and effectively oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and enhance problem-solving capabilities to maximize both short-term and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives, aiming to meet or surpass these targets.
• Develop pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to consistently enhance sales performance.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, ensuring logical and reasonable calls to action to successfully close every sales call.
• Proactively strive to address customer needs, expectations, and challenges, fostering trusted relationships and achieving mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its customers.
• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, market landscape, competitors, and dynamics, sharing this intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and adapt to environmental changes and challenges, while optimizing brand strategy and execution.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition among assigned healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease state experts and speakers/advocates to enhance brand performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; however, relevant and equivalent industry experience may be accepted.
• At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including a minimum of three (3) years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success along with strong presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles and behaviors, adapting the selling approach accordingly.
• Capable of operating effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred: Proven history of success in sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas.
• Preferred: Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred: Possesses comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Preferred: Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
