This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections and ensure actionable outcomes during sales interactions.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales strategies.
• Provide market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred.
• Equivalent relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when experience is used as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Ability to think strategically and critically.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Capability to function effectively within a matrix organization.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
