This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans and perform post-call assessments to enhance sales performance.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while ensuring actionable outcomes from sales calls.
• Create and execute call plans that maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, the territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales practices.
• Share market insights with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with the designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Focus efforts on patients to optimize both short- and long-term sales performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when substituting equivalent industry experience for a bachelor’s degree.
• A proven history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation capabilities.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adapt selling techniques.
• Effective performance in a matrix environment.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet necessary health care industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Should be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain required credentials.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and fingerprinting as required.
• Proof of immunization/vaccination may be necessary.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving criteria.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
