This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, achieving sales performance while effectively managing the assigned territory and targeted accounts.

• Cultivate strong customer relationships and enhance problem-solving capabilities to optimize both short-term and long-term sales performance, ensuring that patient needs are central to all efforts, and adhering to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Achieve sales performance, brand key performance indicators (KPIs), financial targets, marketing objectives, and more, striving to meet or surpass these goals.

• Develop pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to facilitate continuous improvement in sales performance.

• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while consistently securing logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sales interaction.

• Proactively aspire to meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted customer relationships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its clients.

• Formulate and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.

• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, the market landscape, competitors, market dynamics, accounts, disease states, products, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment, anticipate environmental changes and challenges, and refine brand strategy execution.

• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers, identifying, developing, and maintaining disease state experts and speakers/advocates to enhance brand performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; alternatively, relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required, with at least three (3) years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.

• Demonstrates comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.

• Strong business acumen complemented by proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking skills.

• Proactively identifies customer styles and behaviors, swiftly adapting to all aspects of the selling approach.

• Understands and utilizes findings to formulate effective sales strategies.

• Presents innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and resolve challenges.

• Generates impactful ideas for the broader organization, anticipating and responding to changes effectively.

• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.

• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.

• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.

• Leads by example, consistently demonstrating positive behaviors and peer coaching through changing and challenging circumstances.

• Documented success in leadership and support roles of increasing responsibility at district, regional, or organizational levels.

• Preferred: Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas.

• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.

• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).

• A key requirement of this position is to meet all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain access to facilities and organizations within the assigned territory.

• Valid driver’s license: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
