This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Establish pre-call plan goals and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, and secure calls to action during sales discussions.
• Develop and execute call strategies to meet metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key customers.
• Acquire knowledge regarding customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales proficiency.
• Share market intelligence with in-field teams, brand management, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.
• A minimum of five years of pertinent and equivalent industry experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferably three or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and skilled in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Proven success in sales.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferable, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Valid driver's license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and fulfill safe driving requirements.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck or powered material-handling equipment.
