This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field while effectively managing assigned territory and target accounts.
• Foster robust customer relationships and enhance problem-solving capabilities to maximize both short and long-term sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand key performance indicators (KPIs), financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or surpass those goals.
• Develop a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to consistently improve sales performance.
• Skillfully address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, leading to logical and reasonable calls to action to secure closure on every sales call.
• Actively seek to understand and meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges.
• Create and implement a call plan aimed at achieving established call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers.
• Enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, and market dynamics, sharing this market intelligence to align and optimize brand strategy and execution.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned health providers and identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease state experts and advocates.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• If substituting for a bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of relevant industry experience is necessary, including three (3) or more years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science sector, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles and behaviors, adapting the selling approach accordingly.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Demonstrates a proven history of success in sales along with strong presentation skills.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Displays extensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
• Possesses strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools, with strategic and critical thinking capabilities.
• Contributes impactful ideas for the larger organization, anticipating and responding to changes.
• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
• Cultivates collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and the matrix team.
• Must fulfill health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities and organizations within the assigned territory.
