This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics within the field to drive sales performance.
• Efficiently manage the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers and address their needs to enhance both short-term and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing targets to meet or surpass these objectives.
• Develop a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to consistently improve sales results.
• Skillfully manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while ensuring logical and reasonable calls to action to close every sales call.
• Actively seek to meet customer needs, expectations, and challenges consistently.
• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics, optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease states, products, and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and optimize brand strategy execution.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree must include at least five (5) years of experience, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• A proven track record of success in sales, complemented by strong presentation skills.
• Proactively assesses customer styles/behaviors and quickly adapts all selling approaches accordingly.
• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to optimize business opportunities and address challenges.
• Contributes impactful ideas for the broader organization and anticipates and responds to changes effectively.
• Influences peers and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource.
• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Leads by example, consistently exhibiting positive behaviors and providing peer coaching through challenging environments.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities at the district, region, or organizational levels.
• Understands and utilizes findings to formulate effective sales strategies.
• Preferred: A proven history of successful sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing, is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
