This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Implement the brand strategy and tactics in the field, manage sales performance, effectively oversee the assigned territory and identified accounts, and establish robust customer relationships while addressing their needs to optimize both short-term and long-term sales results, ensuring that patient welfare remains central to all initiatives and operates in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, marketing targets, etc., to meet or surpass these objectives.

• Develop a pre-call plan utilizing SMART objectives and conduct a post-call analysis to facilitate ongoing improvement in sales performance.

• Skillfully manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while consistently securing logical and reasonable calls to action to successfully close every sales interaction.

• Actively strive to fulfill customer needs, expectations, and challenges to foster trusted customer relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and its clients.

• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics while optimizing coverage and frequency with key customers to enhance access and sales opportunities.

• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs and expectations, the market landscape within the territory, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease states, products, and clinical and sales expertise, sharing this market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment, anticipate environmental changes and challenges, and refine brand strategy and execution.

• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers and identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.

• Relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree must include at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, along with a high school diploma/GED.

• A proven record of success in sales along with strong presentation skills.

• Proactively recognizes customer styles/behaviors and swiftly adapts all elements of the selling approach.

• Proposes innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities and tackle challenges.

• Provides impactful ideas for the broader organization, anticipating and responding to changes, influencing others, and being regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.

• Fosters collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.

• Leads by example; consistently demonstrates positive behaviors and peer coaching through changing and challenging circumstances.

• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibility at the district, region, and/or organizational levels.

• Understands and utilizes findings to shape sales strategies.

• Preferred: A proven history of successful sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas, with commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing being preferred.
