This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• This position is based in the field, and candidates should reside within a suitable distance from the primary city.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field, manage sales performance, and effectively oversee assigned territories and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and develop problem-solving capabilities to enhance both short-term and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing goals, and other objectives to meet or surpass these benchmarks.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to facilitate ongoing improvements in sales performance.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns effectively, consistently leading to logical and reasonable calls to action in order to close every sales call.
• Proactively strive to meet customer needs and expectations while tackling challenges to cultivate trusted customer relationships and secure mutually beneficial agreements between AbbVie and customers.
• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers, maximizing access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously enhance understanding of customer needs, the territory's market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise, sharing this intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment and anticipate environmental changes and challenges while optimizing brand strategy and execution.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience is required, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; a high school diploma/GED is also required.
• A proven track record of success in sales along with strong presentation skills.
• Proactively identifies customer styles and behaviors, adapting all aspects of the sales approach quickly.
• Offers innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities in addressing challenges.
• Provides impactful ideas for the larger organization while anticipating and responding to changes.
• Influences others and is regarded as a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
• Builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams, among others.
• Leads by example, consistently demonstrating positive behaviors and peer coaching in changing and challenging environments.
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Understands and utilizes findings to formulate effective sales strategies.
• A proven history of success in sales performance within the relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
