Specialty Equipment Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Examine, evaluate, and test equipment to pinpoint issues that may affect performance.

• Execute maintenance, repairs, and preventive services on SCBA (Scott Air Packs), compressors, purification systems, charging stations, and rescue gear.

• Disassemble, fix, and reassemble air packs and associated components.

• Carry out NFPA testing and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

• Diagnose and repair compressors and purification systems.

• Conduct system tests, flow assessments, and performance evaluations on compressed air systems.

• Review and analyze equipment installations to detect performance or efficiency concerns.

• Calibrate rescue equipment to align with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

• Organize routes, schedule service appointments, and effectively manage time in a mobile setting.

• Foster strong customer relationships while promoting maintenance programs, upgrades, and replacement parts.

• Keep precise records of inspections, testing, and repairs.

• Ensure all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with both company and industry standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in mechanical or technical services, ideally within the fire industry or with compressed air or life-safety equipment.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Capability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule or service area.

• Familiarity with computer programs for scheduling and reporting tasks.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unaided.

• Capacity to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
