This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Evaluates, examines, and provides recommendations concerning cases related to the professional responsibilities of licensees.
• Supplies supporting documentation for cases forwarded to the Complaints Committee.
• Aids in resolving specific cases in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Collects additional information from both complainants and licensees for initial review.
• Assesses information and identifies issues pertaining to the professional duties of licensees.
• Offers recommendations to the supervisor based on risk evaluation and case analysis.
• Conducts Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to settle cases directed to the ER stream.
• Interacts with complainants and licensees to educate them on the process.
• Recognizes Unauthorized Practitioners and disseminates information for follow-up actions.
• Compiles case summaries and prepares documentation for the Complaints Committee.
• Drafts necessary documentation, including the risk assessment worksheet and triage memorandum.
• Participates in Complaints Committee meetings and records minutes.
• Delivers case presentations through written summaries and oral reports during meetings.
• Corresponds with participants to gather supporting documentation.
• College Diploma in business administration, law, or immigration.
• 1-3 years of experience in a law firm, administrative tribunal, or regulatory agency.
• Familiarity with legal and administrative law concepts, principles, and terminology, along with the capability to learn the College Act, regulations, By-laws, and Code of Professional Conduct.
• Understanding of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques and their appropriate usage.
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, the Canadian immigration system.
• Proficiency in office/administrative software, online storage, and case management systems.
• Bilingual Non-Imperative.
