This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assists in the creation, enhancement, development, and execution of learning products for the organization.
• Designs and implements programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and Nightingale College policies, as well as best practices.
• Oversees the development of curriculum and professional development materials for instructor-led delivery platforms, while updating existing course content to reflect changes in laws, regulations, philosophies, or practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and direction.
• Identifies training needs and collaborates with subject matter experts, faculty members, and other stakeholders to design and create learning opportunities for faculty and collaborators.
• Conducts cause, knowledge, or gap analyses to determine the most appropriate learning delivery options.
• Selects suitable instructional design methods, media, and facilitation styles for implementing organizational interventions and solutions.
• Develops supportive materials to enhance performance improvement strategies.
• Aligns both new and existing course content with optimal instructional methods, including instructor-led, e-learning, and blended approaches.
• Keeps abreast of current trends and research in nursing and healthcare professions curriculum or professional development related to online teaching and learning practices.
• Designs and executes the assembly, creation, and packaging of online courses within the Learning Management System (LMS) and authoring tools in collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts.
• Develops and refines tests, scoring guides, and curriculum.
• Maps course topics, objectives, and assignments into program designs to ensure standards are met and assessments are achievable.
• Liaises with Nightingale Group committees as necessary.
• Engages in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise.
• A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Learning Science, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Assessment, Learning Design, Curriculum Design, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the design of learning technology, software, or learning environments is required.
• At least two years of experience in developing courses using LMS and authoring tools is required.
• Proven experience in designing assessments for distance learning experiences is required.
• A demonstrated understanding of concept-based, competency-based, project-based, and other learning design models is required.
• Experience in contributing to learning design systems involving multiple stakeholders and requirements is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in gathering and applying peer-reviewed scholarly research and user research is preferred.
• Experience in Nursing/Allied Health/Health Sciences Education is preferred.
• Experience in micro-credentialing is preferred.
