This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of systems and institutions designed to improve stability and security in areas affected by conflict.
• Retired O-5 / O-6 with qualifications from the U.S. Army Special Forces or U.S. Marine Corps Raiders.
• Over 10 years of expertise in special operations capabilities, service interoperability, and operational integration from tactical to strategic levels.
• More than 5 years of experience aiding partner nations in the development of operational concepts and subsequent plans to ensure the effective execution of Operational Plans (OPLAN) and Concepts of Operations (CONOP), including the establishment of doctrine, Mission Essential Tasks, and training program design.
• Extensive background in civil-military engagement, capacity building within institutions, and professionalization of forces.
• Subject matter expertise in developing a comprehensive ‘whole-of-government’ approach to countering violent extremist organizations (VEO).
• Subject matter expertise in regional partner integration concerning communications, analysis, and production.
• At least 2 years of experience in roles at OSD, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) focused on special operations strategy and planning.
• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience incorporating Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) concepts into Irregular Warfare (IW) doctrine or plans.
• U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required.
