This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee instructional programs for students with special needs in a virtual setting.
• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students to ensure the successful completion of educational programs.
• Engage in all phases of the IEP process.
• Collaborate closely with other educators and district professionals to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
• Employ technology to facilitate virtual instruction.
• Create, draft, and assist in the implementation of IEPs and 504 plans.
• Assess tests and evaluations, complete report cards, and conduct parent conferences.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and learning coaches.
• Provide direct services to students, including those delivered via web-conferencing software.
• Organize, schedule, and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual format.
• Be an active participant in the school’s Student Support Team.
• Help organize and properly implement all necessary paperwork, documentation, and procedures for the IEP process.
• Assist in finding service providers for students requiring related services as outlined in their IEPs.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records in the school’s Learning Management System and special education software.
• Aid in administering state testing and coordinating necessary adaptations based on the IEP.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Must reside in Arkansas or be located within 300 miles of Bentonville, AR.
• A degree in Special Education or a related educational field is required.
• Valid Arkansas Special Education certification is necessary.
• Experience in policy (IDEA) and/or administration related to Special Education.
• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A customer-focused approach is essential.
• High degree of adaptability is required.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Track record of being a team player.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events (which may require overnight stays).
• Capability to work remotely.
• Flexibility to work some evening hours as necessary to support families.
• Must be able to use a personal electronic device and have an email address for two-step authentication.
