This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Assist in the planning and execution of projects aligned with the Collective’s strategies by coordinating tasks and managing logistics in accordance with project timelines and scopes.
• Monitor project milestones and deliverables across various teams.
• Offer logistical and administrative support to the Executive Director for external events (such as convenings, trainings, and workshops) and internal meetings, which includes scheduling, preparing agendas, and documenting meeting notes and outcomes.
• Provide both administrative and strategic assistance to the Executive Director (for instance, managing the schedule, maintaining prioritized contacts and follow-ups, and preparing presentations and remarks for external events).
• Act as the main point of contact for the Collective Advisory Committee, facilitating Advisory Committee meetings through written reports, drafting work plans, and maintaining up-to-date records of decisions and action items.
• Conduct desk research on issues, initiatives, and partners pertinent to the Collective’s strategies, summarizing key insights and emerging trends.
• Help draft proposals, funder reports, and other materials that convey the Collective’s work and its impact.
• Collaborate on internal communications among Collective staff, scholar members, and fellows.
• Assist in creating engaging communication materials, such as blog posts, press releases, and event summaries, that align with the Collective’s messaging and values.
• Oversee staff calendars and coordinate team meetings.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5 years of experience in project coordination, project management, and administrative support.
• Exceptional writing skills, with experience in drafting reports, newsletters, and other internal and external communications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly organized, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of collaborating effectively with others, recognizing when to engage colleagues, and prioritizing and following through on work assignments independently.
• Ability to excel in a dynamic start-up environment, adapting to shifting priorities.
