This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Offer comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President for Development.
• Organize executive calendars, appointments, meetings, engagements, travel, and logistics.
• Prioritize actions for executives and manage tasks under tight deadlines.
• Act as a liaison between executives, staff, and volunteer leaders while ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
• Oversee and direct incoming mail, email, and phone inquiries.
• Keep track of the executives’ to-do list and manage the review queue.
• Foster relationships with key donors and partners.
• Review and facilitate the approval process for correspondence, reports, fundraising materials, proposals, and documents requiring CEO/President signatures.
• Compose correspondence, documents, and reports; maintain records; manage expenses and registrations; and update management and reporting tools.
• Cross-train in Development Division operations and assist in achieving division deliverables.
• Organize Development leadership meetings, including creating agendas, preparing materials, and taking minutes.
• Assist with department-wide meetings, team-building, and professional development activities, including logistics and on-site event support.
• Generate and maintain standardized reports on strategy implementation, revenue generation, and resource management.
• Coordinate administrative and logistical support for the NWF Board and temporary committees.
• Aid in gift processing during peak times such as year-end fundraising.
• Address inquiries from Board Members and VIPs and communicate relevant information to executives and staff.
• Assist in donor and prospective funder cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Attend major events and Board meetings, providing administrative and logistical support.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an executive assistant or in an administrative role is preferred.
• Previous experience in the nonprofit sector is highly desirable.
• Strong self-awareness, empathy, approachability, and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of various group identities and their dynamics.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with CRM and fundraising software, databases, and management reporting tools.
• Passion for and commitment to the mission of the National Wildlife Federation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S., approximately 10–15 nights per year.
