Spanish OPI/VRI Medical Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you will be interpreting in, particularly healthcare and medical terminology. Training will be provided.

• Deliver all messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Maintain the highest level of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between individuals with Limited English Proficiency and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate effectively and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language, "Spanish".

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not required.

• Good understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and the ability to tolerate diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are essential.
