SOX Controls Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage a robust internal control framework that supports accounting and financial operations.

• Foster a culture centered around integrity, accountability, and continuous enhancement.

• Oversee the implementation, execution, documentation, and ongoing assessment of SOX controls.

• Effectively communicate risk, control, and compliance issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Accounting, Internal Audit, Enterprise Financial Controls, and operational leadership.

• Propel process transformation, enhance governance, boost operational efficiency, and advocate for data-driven decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

• An MBA, Master's degree, or other advanced qualifications are preferred.

• CPA designation is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, risk management, or compliance.

• Experience in a large and intricate public company setting is preferred.

• Proven track record of successfully leading business process transformation and change initiatives.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives concurrently.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent time management skills with the capacity to prioritize various tasks.

• Capability to collaborate across different levels of management, departments, and teams.

• Successful completion of background checks, drug tests, and nicotine screenings is required.

• Required vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, except for approved exemptions.
