Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• You identify new suppliers and products, overseeing the entire sourcing process from concept to successful launch.

• You collaborate closely with commercial leads to translate growth opportunities within the product range into actionable steps.

• You serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers in Europe and Asia, fostering strong, sustainable partnerships.

• You optimize pricing, quality, and delivery agreements, ensuring a reliable and scalable supply chain.

• You monitor supplier performance, compliance, and continuity while creating new opportunities for further growth at HBM.

⛳️ Requirements

• HBO work and thinking level.

• At least 3 years of experience in sourcing or purchasing, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.

• Experience in sourcing suppliers in Asia (preferably China) and Europe.

• Knowledge of and experience with ERP systems.

• You think in processes, are data-driven, and possess a hands-on mentality: you take initiative and see tasks through to completion.

• You work well in a team: you connect sourcing with commerce and can engage others effectively.

• You have environmental awareness: you understand how your work impacts the broader organization and market.

• You excel in negotiations: you know how to get the best outcomes from supplier discussions.

• You have excellent spoken and written proficiency in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.

• Affinity with technical products and tools is an advantage.
