This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Create and implement a diverse array of sound effects to elevate the emotional resonance and authenticity of our narrative content, which includes ambiences, hard effects, and innovative sound design elements.
• Capture and edit Foley sounds to synchronize with on-screen action, ensuring that subtle, realistic audio is recorded and integrated seamlessly.
• Refine and edit dialogue tracks to eliminate background noise, enhance clarity, and maintain consistency throughout all scenes.
• Collaborate closely with the editorial team, directors, and composers to grasp the creative vision and transform it into an engaging auditory experience.
• Execute final audio mixes for all projects, balancing dialogue, music, sound effects, and Foley to produce a cohesive and professional final product.
• Confirm that all mixes adhere to broadcast loudness standards and technical specifications required for various distribution platforms, as necessary.
• Perform quality control checks on all delivered audio, ensuring that all tracks are properly synchronized, error-free, and consistent in quality.
• Oversee audio assets and project files, ensuring that all sessions are well-organized, archived, and easily accessible for future use or revisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues associated with audio software, hardware, and file formats.
• Provide reports on department metrics such as mix volume and common technical challenges to assist the post-production team in making informed operational decisions.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, tools, and best practices in audio post-production.
• Experience working in a high-volume content creation environment, preferably involving scripted narrative content.
• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Film, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sound Designer, Audio Mixer, or in a similar role within a fast-paced production environment.
• Expert-level proficiency with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Adobe Audition.
• Strong grasp of audio signal flow, acoustics, and mixing techniques.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard audio plugins for EQ, compression, noise reduction, and reverb.
• Outstanding organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly conveying both creative and technical concepts.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• A proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
• A deep passion for storytelling through sound.
• Experience with advanced noise reduction software (e.g., iZotope RX).
• Bonus: Experience with spatial audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
