• Crafting and articulating the messaging and positioning for Percona's PostgreSQL offerings: Percona Distribution for PostgreSQL, Percona Operator for PostgreSQL (Kubernetes), and PostgreSQL-specific use-case packages (AI Readiness, Migration, Performance Optimization, Cost Optimization).
• Take ownership of PMM positioning and foster messaging that resonates with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB users.
• Establish competitive positioning for PostgreSQL and PMM in relation to other database observability options.
• Collaborate with Services and Consulting to ensure that your messaging aligns with the support, consulting, and managed services that customers commonly purchase alongside the software.
• Contribute to product launches, enablement, and messaging that encompasses multiple database technologies.
• Develop and maintain competitive landscapes for your key areas and contribute to the wider Percona competitive perspective.
• Manage launch plans for releases, features, extensions, and service offerings within your domains.
• Create sales and customer success enablement materials: competitive comparison documents, pitch presentations, one-pagers, FAQ documents, and other resources that link technology to the use cases that interest buyers.
• Drive customer evidence initiatives: case studies, testimonials, and proof points, including service and support engagements.
• Coordinate with Product on roadmap contributions for your areas of responsibility.
• Monitor ecosystem trends relevant to your portfolio areas (community surveys, conferences, mailing lists, analyst reports).
• Transform voice of the customer (VOC) from support, consulting, and sales into updates on positioning and product feedback.
• Engage actively with the open source database community; represent Percona's viewpoint at events and in public content.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical marketing, developer relations, solutions engineering, technical writing, or product marketing role.
• A solid technical background, comfortable engaging in discussions about databases, infrastructure, and operations.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of writing for both technical buyers (DBAs, SREs, platform engineers) and economic buyers (VP Eng, CTO, CISO).
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to build trust across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Services. Must be responsive, organized, and thorough in follow-through.
• Open source mindset, understanding the value of transparency, respecting the community, and presenting open source in an honest manner. Experience in or meaningful engagement with open source is preferred.
• Relevant experience in databases, infrastructure, developer tools, or a similar technical field.
