Solutions Integration Engineer IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of enterprise-level, scalable solutions, managing integrations that involve internal teams, third-party integrators, or custom systems utilizing various Samsara Web integration technologies (APIs, Webhooks, Connectors, etc.).

• Assume full responsibility for high-impact, high-risk projects—from navigating unclear requirements and integration design to configuration, delivery, maintenance, and operational support. Comfortable committing to delivery timelines for larger projects.

• Function as a technical lead, mentoring engineers to establish foundational standards for robust, enterprise-grade integrations.

• Act as a crucial liaison between Customers and Product/Engineering teams; communicate feedback to align product roadmaps with customer success and changing market demands.

• Utilize AI-driven workflows and modern technologies (Glean, Cursor, etc.) to consistently enhance the team's efficiency and technical capabilities.

• Develop customer-facing launch plans and roadmaps, spearheading internal initiatives that improve team visibility across the organization and boost operational efficiency through process automation.

• Advocate for and exemplify Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand globally and open new offices.

• Build, test, validate, and conduct thorough code reviews, providing actionable and insightful feedback.

• Share best practices and knowledge with the Samsara product team, developer community, and promote customer experience.

• Contribute to the advancement of Professional Services methodologies and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in roles such as software engineer, solutions engineer, integrations engineer, solution architect, or other customer-facing technical positions.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python, REST APIs, and Webhooks; extensive architectural knowledge of scalable, event-driven integration patterns using data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, PubSub) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Skilled at selecting suitable data warehousing and storage strategies for specific use cases, with hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and modern data pipeline tools.

• A proven history of meaningful customer engagement—building genuine relationships and transforming complex requirements into successful technical solutions while conducting impactful training sessions to showcase Samsara’s technology.

• Proficient in utilizing LLM-based tools like Cursor and Codex, and MCPs for code generation, prompt engineering, and improving developer workflows.

• Experience in developing highly scalable solutions using modern Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Skilled in using GitHub for version control and collaboration, and experienced with modern Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

• Demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Executives, Product and Engineering leadership, and everyday users of our software.

• Excellent consultative skills with experience in comprehensive system implementations.
