This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients to define, design, document, implement, and deliver system integration solutions that achieve their business objectives.

• Design innovative solutions and provide new services that align with customer needs.

• Collaborate directly with clients to develop data mappings essential for creating the integration solution.

• Actively contribute to the advancement of integration best practices, tools, and processes at Landis+Gyr.

• Work alongside analysts, designers, and system owners to test newly integrated software applications and programs.

• May install and set up software at the client’s location, conducting user acceptance testing and providing mentorship to customer staff during onsite visits.

• Comprehend data quality and its implications on the final integrated solution.

• Assist in the integration testing phase of software and applications in development to identify and address potential issues.

• Strategize, test, and troubleshoot integration interfaces.

• Ensure integration projects meet business requirements and objectives, satisfy end-user needs, and identify and resolve system-related issues.

• Suggest enhancement ideas for integration interfaces to Product Management, aiming to drive future improvements in integration and service delivery.

• Establish standards, best practices, patterns, and processes to support and streamline integration projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Power Systems preferred).

• A minimum of 7 years of integration experience, with at least 3 years concentrating on integration architecture.

• Strong proficiency in various Web Service standards and technologies, such as WCF, XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, and REST (minimum 5 years).

• Familiarity with the operations of utilities and various back-end IT systems (MDM, AMI, OMS, GIS, DMS, SCADA, CIS, DRMS).

• Knowledge and experience in electric system asset modeling, as well as mathematical algorithms and methodologies applicable to the above systems.

• The ideal candidate should possess experience in data modeling with relational databases.

• Understanding of security standards is essential.

• Proficiency in relational databases, and programming languages such as Java and Python.

• Experience with JMS message bus and Web 2.0 technologies.

• Familiarity with application servers, Kubernetes, containers, and virtualization.

• Proven experience in providing consulting services to utilities, including gathering customer requirements.

• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
