This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assist and empower sales for VIAVI Fibre Optic and Metro-Ethernet instrument solutions across Central Europe.
• Provide high-level pre-sales technical assistance to clients regarding Fibre Optic and Metro-Ethernet instrument solutions.
• Collaborate with account managers to address RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Conduct product, solution, and technology presentations at roadshows, technical seminars, and webinars.
• Identify opportunities and accounts to facilitate sales enablement.
• Educate and raise awareness about testing and reporting methods and procedures.
• Communicate with customers regarding instrument field trials and their implementation.
• Analyze ecosystem trends and activities to enhance product positioning.
• Provide insights to Business Units, Product Line Managers, and R&D to foster innovation.
• Exchange experiences and best practices within the EMEA Solutions Engineer team.
• Impart product and technology knowledge to Sales and Channel Partners through training sessions.
• Engage in monthly virtual meetings with the EMEA Solutions Engineer team.
• Assess progress, identify gaps, and establish recovery actions.
• Propel sales growth within the Central Europe region.
• Diploma in Telecom Science & Electronics Engineering with expertise in Ethernet/IP and Fibre Optics.
• Knowledge of Metro-Ethernet and Fibre Optic technologies and testing, including Ethernet, IP/TCP/UDP, Ethernet Optics (100G/400G/800G & 1.6T), Ethernet Services Activation (RFC2544, RFC6349, Y.1564), Performance Monitoring (TWAMP, Y.1731), FTTx, OTDR, OSA, PMD/CD, HollowCore Fibre, and Optical Transport.
• Familiarity with outside plant cabling solutions and topologies, including joining techniques.
• Awareness of challenges encountered during installation, maintenance, and network migrations in fibre optic domains.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-sales technical support with major vendors and T&M equipment suppliers.
• Willingness to travel 50% across Central Europe.
