Solutions Engineer – Data Visualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement enterprise Power BI analytics solutions, including dashboards, reports, and semantic models that align with business goals and user requirements.

• Utilize Tabular Editor, Power Query, and DAX to construct optimized dataflows, semantic models, and intricate calculations for scalable analytics solutions.

• Employ human-centered design (HCD) methodologies and best practices in information design to enhance user experiences and improve data comprehension.

• Ensure all outputs comply with WCAG 2 or 508 accessibility standards within the tool's capabilities, promoting inclusive analytics that meet user needs.

• Facilitate discovery sessions and work in partnership with architects, data engineers, and client stakeholders to convert business inquiries into actionable analytics solutions.

• Establish governance, security, and access controls, including Row Level Security and role-based access, in accordance with client specifications.

• Assist client adoption through comprehensive documentation, training sessions, and post-implementation support.

• Contribute to reusable assets, standards, and best practices within the Data and AI consulting practice.

• Maintain responsibility for deliverables, actively managing risks, dependencies, and quality assurance.

• Provide ongoing assistance for post-implementation tasks, including troubleshooting, minor modifications, and responding to client inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Analytics, UX Design, Information Design, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of three years of experience in delivering enterprise analytics solutions using Power BI, encompassing semantic modeling, DAX, and performance enhancement.

• Solid understanding of data modeling principles and experience working with relational data sources utilizing SQL or similar query languages.

• Proven application of human-centered design principles in analytics or visualization projects.

• Experience in a consulting or enterprise delivery setting with direct client interaction.

• Capability to independently manage multiple deliverables across overlapping projects.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy issues relevant to analytics solutions.
