Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert architectural requirements such as Multi-AZ, sharding, and replication into precise pricing models and contractual terms.

• Collaborate with senior team members to safeguard deal value.

• Coordinate with Support, Product, and Engineering teams to facilitate proofs of concept (POCs).

• Maintain the technical sales workflow using Jira and Salesforce.

• Detect noisy neighbor problems, latency issues, and resource contention before they impact renewals or expansions.

• Participate in discovery sessions to confirm use cases and outline migration paths from Elastic, Solr, and OpenSearch to Qdrant.

• Assist in specifying high-availability search clusters that align with customer SLAs and throughput requirements.

• Serve as a technical point of contact during customer evaluations.

• Aid customers in achieving value swiftly.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of technical, customer-facing experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.

• Experience in data science, computer engineering, or a previous role in DevOps.

• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash.

• Capable of calculating total cost of ownership (TCO).

• Skilled in estimating hardware requirements (RAM, CPU, disk) for distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Understanding of how infrastructure decisions influence cost and performance.

• Excellent communication skills, adept at explaining technical concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders.

• Experience with vector databases or search technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, OpenSearch, Lucene, or similar.

• Exposure to enterprise procurement processes, information security questionnaires, or MSA redlines.
