Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and present customer-focused solution designs, proposed architectures, and business outcomes to various stakeholders, including developers, architects, CTOs, and CIOs.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Services, Support, Training, and Engineering.

• Provide guidance to customers on use case patterns through discovery sessions and requirements workshops.

• Convert customer feedback into actionable items for the product roadmap.

• Establish a technical selling strategy with support from management.

• Engage with the Cloudera community by sharing evangelism initiatives and contributing to knowledge repositories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, focusing on selling solutions to business leaders and technical advocates in enterprise settings.

• Extensive experience with AI ecosystems, including Agentic AI, Ethical AI solutions, Generative AI solutions, and AI Development Tools such as Cursor, CoPilot, and Claude.

• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Background in Solution Architecture/Engineering with a focus on managing customer requirements.

• Familiarity with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN) and its related components.

• Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, etc.

• Keen interest in obtaining public cloud certification.

• Proficient in Linux OS and platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.

• Knowledgeable about Data Lakes, Data Warehousing principles, SQL, and relational database patterns.

• Awareness of competitive landscape differentiators.

• Basic software development skills in Java, Scala, or Python.

• Interest in Data Science and an understanding of the distinctions between Data Engineering and Applied Science.
