• Design and present customer-focused solution architectures, proposed frameworks, and business results to all tiers, including developers, architects, CTOs, and CIOs.
• Collaborate with various teams, such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Services, Support, Training, and Engineering, to communicate Cloudera’s Vision to clients.
• Guide customers on use case scenarios through exploratory and requirements workshops.
• Convert customer feedback into actionable items for the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with colleagues and management to establish a technical sales strategy.
• Engage with the Cloudera community by sharing advocacy efforts (blogs, meetups, industry events) and contributing to both internal and external knowledge bases.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in a similar role, selling solutions to business leaders and technical advocates within enterprises.
• Extensive knowledge of AI ecosystems (Agentic AI, Ethical AI solutions, Generative AI solutions, and AI Development Tools like Cursor, CoPilot, and Claude).
• Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Experience in Solution Architecture/Engineering, including listening to customer needs, proposing solution architectures on a whiteboard, and being hands-on with technology to design, build, and showcase tangible business value.
• Familiarity with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, YARN) and related technologies (Spark, Hive, Impala, Kudu, Solr, etc.), with the ability to discuss the advantages of a centralized architecture for data management and access.
• Proficient in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, etc.).
• Willingness to pursue public cloud certification.
• Experience with Linux OS and various infrastructure setups, including bare metal, VM, and distributed container platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Some experience with specific private cloud infrastructures (Server Hardware, Storage, Networking).
• Basic understanding of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing principles, SQL and relational database patterns, and application integration.
• Awareness of competitive differentiators in the market.
• Basic software development experience in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Some familiarity with Data Flow, Queues, and Stream Processing (Nifi, Kafka, Flink, Spark) in enterprise contexts.
• Interest in Data Science and a clear understanding of the distinction between Data Engineering and Applied Science.
