This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Become a member of a team of Cisco Solutions Engineers focused on fostering positive relationships and understanding customer needs.
• Exhibit your expertise as a Cisco Splunk Solutions Engineer to address challenges effectively.
• Facilitate breakdown sessions, competitive bake-offs, and proofs-of-value to highlight Cisco's advantages.
• Design and verify customized solutions for demanding customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the Cisco ecosystem and Account Managers to deliver critical domain knowledge.
• Guide and empower the wider SE community regarding your technology.
• Shape product direction through valuable real-world insights.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in a pre-sales engineering or a similar deep technical role (e.g., professional services, security analyst, SRE).
• More than 5 years of comprehensive technical knowledge in Security, observability, event, or network management.
• Proven track record of establishing and nurturing positive relationships with customers and partners.
• Over 5 years of experience in communication and presentation skills with internal partners or external clients.
• Experience in observability or security pre-sales activities.
• Significant experience in completing RFXs, conducting competitive analysis, positioning, and participating in hands-on competitive bake-offs.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP).
• Strong grasp of automation, APIs, and programmability within your area of expertise.
• Experience in a thought leadership position (e.g., public speaking, writing technical blogs or whitepapers).
