Solutions Consultant – FP&A, Product Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Architect and Develop Solutions: Transition from high-level strategy to practical execution. You will design, model, and configure proof-of-concepts and pilot implementations within Drivetrain to address specific financial challenges.

• Support the Office of the CFO: Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs and VPs of Finance. You will interpret their complex business needs—from FP&A and consolidation to scenario planning—into effective technical solutions.

• Data Architecture and Integration: Utilize your knowledge of data architecture to create scalable data models. You will guide potential clients on how to optimally structure their financial and operational data (ERP, CRM, HRIS) for peak performance within Drivetrain.

• Technical Workshops: Facilitate in-depth technical workshops where you establish business logic, map data flows, and build customized models live to demonstrate the platform’s value.

• Strategic Discovery: Execute technical discovery sessions to identify the limitations of a prospect’s existing architecture (e.g., inflexible Excel sheets, outdated EPMs) and outline a modern, data-driven planning framework.

• Cross-Functional Feedback: Represent the "voice of the implementation" to Product and Engineering, delivering comprehensive feedback on backend data handling, modeling adaptability, and calculation engine performance based on real-world client scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Finance Background (CPA Preferred): You are fluent in the language of finance. A background as a CPA, or substantial experience in FP&A/Corporate Finance, is highly desired.

• Implementation Focused: You are willing to engage directly with data. You have a history of building models rather than just presenting slides. You enjoy the challenge of converting a disorganized spreadsheet into a clean, multidimensional model.

• Data Architecture Knowledge: You have a fundamental understanding of how data is organized and stored (Schemas, Dimensions, Cubes). You recognize the effects of data granularity and hierarchy management on system efficiency.

• EPM Proficiency: Significant modeling experience in at least one major EPM product is required (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, TM1/Planning Analytics, Planful, Vena, Jedox, Abacum, Runway, etc.). You are familiar with the mechanics of multidimensional planning.

• Business Insight: You can engage effectively with C-level executives. You possess the empathy to understand their pain points and the technical authority to provide effective solutions.

• Agile and Technical: You thrive in a dynamic startup environment where you may need to troubleshoot a data integration one hour and present a strategic roadmap to a CFO the next.

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.

• CPA or CA designation is highly preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in EPM implementation, Sales Engineering, or Technical Finance roles.
