This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Act as the technical leader for AI agents that enhance the productivity of our technical sales team.
• Provide guidance on the complete design of agentic systems across various platforms.
• Define, document, and promote best practices related to cost, performance, design, and integrations.
• Determine which agents are developed on which platform and establish the criteria for organizational decisions.
• Set the technical direction for contractors tasked with building agents.
• Contribute to the creation of reference designs and standards.
• Take ownership of delivering an initial set of 3 to 5 production agents.
• Finalize the last stages of agent builds.
• Establish thorough logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for agents in production.
• Monitor resource usage across agentic workloads.
• Define the parameters that ensure agents remain safe and compliant.
• Maintain a selection of production agents and address any regressions.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software, ML, or platform engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical authority and enhance team productivity.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing production-level agentic systems.
• Experience in choosing and building across various agent platforms.
• Strong skills in tool and API integrations.
• Experience in creating evaluation harnesses and conducting offline/online evaluations.
• Familiarity with implementing guardrails, policy and permission models, and audit trails.
• Knowledge of token and cost management across different LLM providers.
• Experience in overseeing and reviewing the work of contractors, vendors, or peer engineers.
• Practical experience in operating agents in a production environment.
• Familiarity with Splunk products and expertise in cloud-native architectures.
• Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
